This is a webpage rather than an e-mail because this makes sure you can always get to the current version of this "plan".

Classmates from NCHS57 are enjoying and recreating memories and friendships.
We owe our thanks to a few people whose initiative has made this possible (especially Sylvia Boecker, Pete Schmieler, and Pete Wohld).
62 people have been reached, excellent work as that might be half of us.
It has been suggested that we might be ready for a little more structure, so these are principles we might like to consider.
(updated 10/26/11 20:08)
Since we primarily using e-mail, one concern is to protect privacy and avoid risk of our e-mail addresses being added to spam lists.
This is very important as we are presently violating this principle in our website and by revealing all 62 of our e-mail addresses in the address line of each e-mail we send.
An important purpose is to be as inviting as we can be to our classmates who have not yet discovered us, to do our best to be a group they would like to join.
Our activities include promoting and recording our reunions and friendly contacts sometimes including self-expression of social or political viewpoints.
If every message goes to everyone, some people might be put off by receiving political messages and thus less willing to be part of the group.
Here is a process that might work better:
- Do the sending of most e-mail messages by a listserv or similar facility.
Where people want to connect outside of this, we should have a way for them to get a specific e-mail address in a way that keeps it private.
There are two criteria for selecting this facility.
First, we should be able to place our entire e-mail list in it to get started (not requiring people to "join").
Second, whoever is to administer it should choose it, possibly as a facility that he or she already has used and knows how to use sufficiently.
We should make sure that a second person is trained to protect against the possible loss of the primary facilitator of the e-mail facility.
- Our website (NCHS57) should be the dependable source of information. It should be fairly stable; it is not a blog or a forum.
Someone needs to become the steward for our website. He/she should make sure that other person(s) have the necessary passwords etc. to protect against the loss of that person.
- We should have a Facebook page which is our open door and by which more of our classmates are likely to find us.
All social and political commentary that any of us care to post should go there.
Obviously lots of will join or friend this page and so it will show whatever personal information we care to share.
Someone should create and maintain the Facebook page and make sure other people have admin access.
It is important to create the right kind of Facebook page as they are many types and they all have different characteristics.
- We don't want formal management of this. The way of the Quakers seems right.
Someone should be "clerk of the meeting" and should state the "consensus of the meeting" when in the clerk's judgement enough has been done for a consensus to be known.
If you have suggestions for improving the wording or the ideas in this, please send your comment by e-mail. You can click on "E-Mail" on this page if you wish and we will get it.

We must give them new billing and admin contact information, a Credit Card Authorization Form, found here: http://www.netsonic.net/ccauth, and fax it back to us at 1(920)432-0364.
The account is currently paid up until 11/1/11. Recurring fees will post out for the next annual term on 10/20/11, in the amount of $100.30.
Once we receive the new admin and billing contact information, we ask that the appointed person(s) send their requests to billing@netsonic.net,
at which time we will be able to send them the necessary information, in order to manage the domain.
